Join the Deep Roots Project and Daniel Price of Kalikale in this mid-summer workshop at his home garden to learn more about permaculture based techniques to improve soil and deliver fresh produce to your kitchen daily. Daniel will lead us through harvesting, seed-saving, summer-cropping, and the transition to the fall. You won’t want to miss his practical demonstrations that are sure to help enrich your gardening experience.
Daniel is a 2017 Oak Park Green Award recipient and is founder of Kalikale, a company focused on improving health outcomes and food security through edible gardens at schools and private residences. He is recognized as a leader in the edible gardening movement and is a farmer for hire! Workshop participants will walk away with a bag of cover crop seeds, fresh herbs and produce and the knowledge and skills necessary to increase food production at their homes and schools.
