Last Sunday, something truly special happened in our community—the very first Deep Roots Edible Garden Walk! And thanks to YOU, it was a joyful, vibrant, and inspiring success.

Over 80 guests joined us for this self-guided tour of five beautiful local gardens—each one grown using the Deep Roots Project’s innovative regenerative method. From edible landscapes to abundant raised beds, these gardens weren’t just a feast for the eyes—they were a living example of what’s possible when we grow food in 100% microbe-rich compost, not soil blends, and nourish our plants with nutrient-dense worm castings, not chemicals.

The tour began at the Deep Roots demonstration garden at Estelle’s home, where guests picked up a brochure and map, then set off on a sunny stroll through gardens bursting with life, color, and flavor. Along the way, they saw first-hand how our method leads to less work, no tilling, no chemicals—and more food!

The day ended beautifully with an informal discussion in Estelle’s backyard, where gardeners and guests gathered to share ideas, ask questions, and connect. It was a fitting close to a day centered on community, sustainability, and the joy of growing food together.
